Restrictions/Limitations
Fillet Marks:	Fillet marks are obvious on the rough sawn surface of boards and will continue through the timber, typically up to 6mm. So if a clear finish is required on both sides extra machining will be required.
Surface Mould:	Although Accoya® wood will not rot or decay, because it is a light coloured timber any surface mould that may grow on the wood is a lot more noticeable. This will not damage the timber but can be unsightly, but can be overcome by using a coating which contains a fungicide.
Brittleness:	Due to its lower moisture content, Accoya® wood is more brittle than other timbers; care needs to be taken to ensure boards aren't dropped.
Fastenings:	Do not use zinc plated or galvanized steel. Stainless Steel (304 or 316) or brass fastenings and fixings are recommended.
